How can you resist sweets and sweet snacking?
This is a question I get asked a lot. When you want to lose weight or simply lose a little fat on your stomach, you wonder where to start and especially how to resist sweets and sweet snacking?
I lost 15 kilos in 3 months, now 4 years ago. And since then, I haven’t resumed because I figured out how to lose stubborn fat and wake up my metabolism.
And one of the things that people who have lost weight do not gain back is because they understand that #sugar snack is the worst because it can be likened to a drug and I dissect for you the process that is triggered in your body and your emotions

I want to lose weight: how can I manage my craving for sugar?
We often make a big deal out of sweet crackers and sugar-based snacks. Frankly, most of the time, you just have to let go and understand especially the harmful effects of sugar on the body. Especially if you are one of those people who are afraid of suffering from a sugar addiction.
Several scientific studies have proven very clearly how sugar affects the metabolism in particular and the body in general. These sugar cravings can be caused by the release of chemicals in the brain that make you feel good. The consequences are then twofold: you have more energy due to the surge of sugar (but then you have a sudden fatigue and a big hunger that follows due to the insulin spike) and you have the mood that arranges thanks to these chemicals that make you happy.
So to manage your craving for sugar clearly you have to understand this process in order to limit it as much as possible because it is a vicious circle.
How to fight against sugar cravings at night and resist snacking?
I’ll be frank with you: snacking at night hurts! Not that eating at night makes you fat, the coaches and fitness girls who say that just don’t know what they’re talking about.
Eating in the evening does not make you fat. What makes you fat is the extra calories. And generally when we eat sugar in the evening, we have already done all our meals and we find ourselves more easily in excess of calories. That’s all.
In addition, sugar at night will not promote good sleep. This will slow down the loss of fat and does not promote a fast metabolism ready to lose weight.
Can you cut your craving for sugar naturally with essential oils?
Citrus essential oils may help reduce cravings for sweets and snacks. Don’t expect a magical outcome for everyone. On the other hand, it can be a good help and it is trying. Essential oils can be breathed in or ingested.
Personally, I simply inhale them with my super efficient and inexpensive essential oil diffuser.
Also, surrounding yourself with an environment and people who share the same goal as you, will make it easier to achieve your goal. This is why each member of my Private Club has access to the support group with 24/7 access so that I always have access to a motivation and support group when needed.
How to diet when you love sugar
It is quite possible to lose weight even when you like sugar. In my opinion, the success of a diet is based on 3 factors:
- a clear and precise nutritional program
- days when you can have fun and eat what you want
- recipes and principles that are sustainable over time (no magic and quick trick that favors the yoyo)
So a good diet is a diet that is successful and gives visible and satisfactory results while enjoying and without too many constraints. It is when we deprive ourselves too much that the yoyo arrives and especially when we lock ourselves into a spiral that does not promote loving your body or feeling good about yourself.
